INSIDER TIP: It has been our experience that for some reason Cloquet has some of the cheapest gas we have found in the state of Minnesota. If you need to fill up, this is the place to do it, and we recommend this Kwik Trip. It is easy to get into, and maybe more importantly easy to get out. Especially with an RV.

Cook hosts the last McDonalds along your journey, and is uniquely RV Friendly in that it has a drive through that can accommodate RVs. Seriously! Also, Cook hosts Zups Grocery Store, and it is the last grocery store you will pass before arriving to our resort.

The final stretch before reaching The Pines of Kabetogama takes you through Orr, MN, surrounded by enchanting wilderness. Be sure and stop into Norman’s One Stop and pick up any last minute tackle and snacks. Norman’s is a Northwoods Institution, and a favorite stop for locals. If you are looking for a sit down meal, be sure and grab a bite at T Pattenn Cafe. A fine example of a ‘hole in the wall’ restaurant where if you blink, you’ll miss it. Known for their giant donuts, they are made fresh daily.
